For more than 20 years, Conveyancing Shop Lawyers has been helping New Zealanders navigate property and commercial law. Established in Auckland in 2005, we set out to create a different kind of legal practice: professional and experienced, but also approachable, practical and easy to deal with.
We understand that buying or selling a home, refinancing a property, setting up a trust or buying a business can feel complicated. Our job is to make the legal side as straightforward as possible, explain what you need to know and keep you informed along the way.
Today, our team works from offices in Botany and Pukekohe, as well as providing legal services across Auckland. While the way we work has evolved with technology, our focus remains the same: providing good legal advice, a personal service and a straightforward experience for our clients.

Thada Chapman
Founder & Director
Thada has been practising law in New Zealand since 1996. Originally from South Africa, Thada is also qualified to practise in South Africa and California, having passed the California Bar examination on her first attempt, an achievement that is regarded as particularly demanding even among experienced lawyers.
Her career has given her a broad perspective across a wide range of legal matters, although she has developed particular expertise and interest in property law, business sales and purchases, and franchising. Thada regularly assists clients with buying and selling businesses, structuring and developing franchise systems, reviewing franchise agreements and dealing with the property and commercial matters that sit alongside these transactions.

Meet the Real Management Team
Every good law firm needs a management team. Ours just happens to have four legs.
Our four-legged team members take staff wellbeing seriously. They make sure everyone shares their lunch, takes regular breaks for pats and fresh air, and gets out for a walk when they need it. They're also experts at providing moral support, accepting treats and occasionally reminding the team that there are more important things in life than paperwork.
Russell and Harley are our official greeters, welcoming clients and making sure everyone feels at home. Floss takes a more selective approach to her duties and only makes the occasional office appearance, but when she does, she expects plenty of attention.
We're pretty sure productivity improves when there are dogs in the office. We haven't actually measured it, but we're willing to stand by
